Day Three Hundred and Fifty-seven

This is Amanda! .....in gingerbread form. Actually it was Amanda, I'd already eaten her legs by the time I took this and the rest of her didn't last much longer!

Day Three Hundred and Fifty-five

Its pancake day! Time to get rid of all your sweets and treats from the kitchen selves. Here's my mum cooking my one for breakfast...

Day Three Hundred and Fifty-one

This is Wooburn Green, a pleasant enough village. But look a little close and you'll see the little Domino's man, in fact there were two, the other just out of shot. In recent weeks they've been everywhere, Wooburn, Bourne End, Loudwater, Hazlemere, High Wycombe. I hope they're not trying to take over! Whatever they're trying to do, I know just one thing for sure....I really fancy pizza for dinner...

Day Three Hundred and Forty-eight

I've been busy in the kitchen again, this time with some tasty blueberry muffins. Best eaten immediately by all accounts, which was fortunate really, because I wasted no time getting stuck into them!

Day Three Hundred and Forty-seven

One of my favourite dinners to make, tonight I knocked together some rather spicy fajitas...

Day Three Hundred and Thirty-eight

Happy Birthday to Amanda! Errr, a couple of days early, but any excuse for some chocolate cake right?

Day Three Hundred and Twenty-two

I love the end of a fresh loaf of bread and I've known to do almost anything to ensure no one else gets it....including starting slicing from both ends....

Day Three Hundred and Seventeen

Good work Nathan! I'm down visiting my sister this weekend and my brother-in-law and knocked up a pukka curry tonight....

Day Three Hundred and Sixteen

Love a bit of fish on a Friday and nothing beats the best Fish & Chips Wooburn has on offer, regardless of the fact its the only Fish & Chips Wooburn has to offer.

Day Three Hundred and Ten

Curry Night! No better way to follow watching Wycombe win at home than enjoying a curry with friends. Tonight I caught up with Martin and Dean at Mr India in Loudwater.

Day Two Hundred and Ninety-Eight

The greatest thing ever? Its not just Marmite, its squeezeable Marmite! No more excuses for getting little bits of Marmite back in the butter dish now.

Day Two Hundred and Sixty-three

Never seen this before....Strawberries in December! One of the many joys of being in America is that you can get whatever you want, whenever you want.

Day Two Hundred and Forty-six

A small taste of home! After being in America for six months, the sight of a real "fish and chip" shop was enough to pull me in. Finally some chips that weren't skinny and didn't come pre-loaded with salt. And I wasn't given a 'what on earth are you doing look' when i coated them with vinegar...

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-One

Weekly planning! To ensure we cut down on the money we spend on take-away/eating out and also in an attempt to eat more healthily all round....we've planned out our meals for the week!

Day Two Hundred and Eleven

Fast food, the staple diet of too many Americans! A quick internet search told me that there are over 50,000 fast food outlets in the USA where more than $100 billion is spent each year. Tonight we happily added our money and hunger to this statistic!

Day Two Hundred and Nine

This evening we headed out to the Pizza Factory for dinner (great pizza by the way). Upon receiving the bill and a couple of complimentary mints Amanda decided she was still hungry and asked for another mint. The generous waitress (undoubtedly searching for a good tip) came back with enough mints to last a short nuclear war....much to Amanda's delight!

Day Two Hundred and Seven

I've written a few times on this blog about things I do to keep fit. Today however, it was Amanda's turn to go out running, and mine to eat the junk food!

Day Two Hundred

Yes, in hindsight, the fajita wrap I made was far to big to fit in my mouth.

Day One Hundred and Ninety

Dinnertime for the Taylor Family. We were looking after Amanda's youngest siblings this weekend, here I am dishing up tea for them...

Dessert was much easier to take care of...
