Day Ninety-Nine

The girls don't like it when the boys sing in the dining hall....

Day Ninety-Eight

Rainy days at camp are always a challenge, somehow I managed to occupy about half my boys with this card game, Apples to Apples, for most of the evening before lights out time. These were my winning cards....

My favourite card definitely being Barney's Legendaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaary!

Thursday 24 June 2010

Day Ninety-Seven

This is the group of kids I have in my cabin, Mohawk East, for the next four weeks, with the flag they've designed for evening program. The Swaggin' Dragon!

Day Ninety-Six

Opening day at camp, this is the camp counselors and kids that arrived early greeting those that arrived later by coach. The summer has begun...

Sunday 20 June 2010

Day Ninety-Five

The calm before the storm....

The cabin is finally set up, and some campers luggage as already arrived. Right now its pretty damn clean, probably for the last time in 8 weeks. The kids arrive tomorrow!

Day Ninety-Four

Finally a day off after 14 straight days working at camp. We took a well earn trip to the town of South Haven on Lake Michigan. Here are a couple of my colleagues showing off their gymnastic skills right on the beach...

Day Ninety-Three

Finishing touches to waterfront preparation at camp. These are the buddy tags we'll be 'trying' to get the kids to use all summer!

Saturday 19 June 2010

Day Ninety-Two

Square Dance Night!

...and some proof that I danced too....

Day Ninety-One

Adding the finishing touches to the swimming areas. Half complete and still beached, this is our amazing floating trampoline we have on the lake at our camp.

I'll take some more photos later in the summer when its complete on on the lake!

Wednesday 16 June 2010

I may have said this already, but there's something about clouds which my makes love to photograph them. This was take early evening, across the playing fields at Greenwoods Camp.

Sunday 13 June 2010

Day Eighty-Seven

We missed almost the entire game because of lifeguard training today, but managed to catch the final few minutes to see America secure a jammy draw against England.

Saturday 12 June 2010

Day Eighty-Six

Decatur Michigan doesn't have much to offer, but this is one of its gems. Serving up the best ice cream an milkshakes around, its easy to become addicted.....just ask the office girls!

Thursday 10 June 2010

Day Eighty-Five

Getting closer to having the camp ready for the influx of kids in about a week and half time, but some things are still a little way off....like the half constructed cabin you can see behind the basketball court...

Day Eighty-Four

Clear blue skies and back to work building docks today....

If you look real close you can see Blake's bald head hiding from the camera!

Day Eighty-Three

Bad weather stopped play today, heavy rain almost all day, yuck!

I did find some amusement though, after I discover my friend's (who for my own safety will remain nameless) iPod. Does anyone over the age of 4 actually own this music?

Tuesday 8 June 2010

Day Eighty-Two

Today we definitely stepped up the 'building' stakes. We spent almost the entire day in the lake building some docks for swimming and lifeguarding. Its a start, I estimate it'll take another two days to complete....

Day Eighty-One

The first full of work at camp where I'm spending the next three months and we eased ourselves in gently building some patio furniture.

Sunday 6 June 2010

Day Eighty

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Saturday 5 June 2010

After the long drive from Buffalo we made it to Ohio and enjoyed a few goooood (and well earnt) beers catching up with my cousin and her family.

Friday 4 June 2010

Day Seventy-Seven

At Niagara Falls, this is the lesser photographed American and Bridal Veil Falls. It's brink is 1060 feet and the total drop is 176 feet. In other words, its bloody huge and totally majestic.

Day Seventy-Six

Albany, NY. The Capital of New York State, this is the Empire State Plaza and the Capitol Biulding.

Day Seventy-Five

Enjoying a beer with a best mate, in what could be a truly english setting. In fact, its in Northampton. Northampton, Massachusetts, USA though!

Day Seventy-Four

An emotional farewell to my mum in New York City. Martin, Dean and I hit the highway north to New England and ultimately to Chicago. Mum and her friend Bev fly back home to London.
