Day Thirteen

Its somewhat amazes me the amount of rubbish that can accumulate in dark places! This weekend, in search of something far more important than rubbish I ventured into my favourite storage space for 'something I might need later', this being the 'underneath of my bed'.
OK, I'm not all that messy so there wasn't that much rubbish...just the remains of various travelling trips, including never sent postcards and Lonely Planet guides for America, Canada and Australia. This I kind of expected. What did take me by surprise was the number of shoe boxes I found. I can't decide whether I have an unacceptably high number of shoes for a man, or that I always think I might have some sort of shoe box shortage in the near future...

Day Twelve

This fella is Monkey Joe and he lives in the back of my car.

Truth is I have a very bad habit of forgetting to buckle my seat belt. Monkey Joe, safely buckled up in the backseat, is my daily reminder :)

Day Eleven

ahhhh, Sunday morning breakfast at my parent's with the Sunday paper. Sunday's are for relaxing (and football) in my opinion and to relax I like to read. I never actually realised quite how many supplements there are in the the Sunday newspaper. This always occupies the first few hours of my Sunday ....eventually I'll flick through every page in every section but there's no prizes for guessing which section I pick up first!

Day Ten

So I may not be a councillor or politician any more but it seems the community work hasn't ended yet. "Spotlight East Wycombe" is a community newspaper that I have written articles for and also deliver around my streets in East Wycombe...this morning in the rain!

Day Nine

Its Friday at work and I'm sure I'm not the only one who watches that clock tick down the final minutes to the weekend. Here's a view I don't have to see for a few days!

Day Eight

Mixed feelings this evening as I left council for the final time, leaving others to work on into the night. Its been a fantastic three years in politics, something I'll surely miss

Day Seven

Dinner at Mum's! There must be something written in the parenting rule book I reckon, about parents having to cook far more dinner than required. Probably exaggerated of course by my super small portions and health kick at the moment, but nonetheless its good to have a microwavable lunch already prepared for tomorrow...

Day Six

There's many ways to tell that Spring has finally sprung. Here's two ....finally the daffodils are out (after upsetting the Welsh by failing to bloom by St David's day) and American Idol is once again on our TV Screens

Day Five

Some of you may know I'm on a huge health kick right now, and to prove it here's my dinner in the middle of preparation!

Day Four

I'm lucky to live where i do. Even though sometimes all we seem to experience is being stuck in the traffic jams or woken up by the first train at 5:30 each morning, it only takes a short walk to see another side of Wycombe. Today's photos are taken right in the heart of the town in an area known as The Rye.

Day Three

Now then, I couldn't leave these out....its been a long and painful season being a Wycombe fan this year. Here's a rare moment of glory as Wycombe take a 2-0 lead at home to Exeter, though in typical Chairboys fashion this year, it was short lived as they blew it and the game ended 2-2.

This be my belated 'birthday' celebrations, and after watching dire Wycombe display was much required! Two of my favourite friends, Emma and Bulmers!

Day Two

Needless to say Day Two's photo is almost immediately following the end of Day One. There's only one way to suitably celebrate such a historic victory by Black and White Fulham. So with several pints of the Black Stuff in The Distillers in Hammersmith, we drank until the early hours dreaming of the road to Europa Glory...

Day One

Not a bad way to kick of the year. Words can't really describe what an incredible night at Craven Cottage this was. I'll happily admit I'm a bit of a plastic Fulham supporter, I've been going with my Dad since the 1980s, but grew up in High Wycombe and ultimately ended up following Wycombe Wanderers. But still, I travelled into London with the faint hope that Fulham could turn over the 3-1 reversal from the first half out in Italy.
