This is the turtle Amanda rescued from the road, tried to keep as a pet, but ultimately released back by the lake. He's an ugly fella, but was happy to be back where he should be!

Day Forty-two


I had to work from Milton Keynes today, a city which I now believe is the safest in the world after leaving my wallet on top of my car in a open car park for hours before returning to fine it still there! As much as it pains me (because of a dislike for their football team) MK really is a nice city, but I can't quite get my head round why on earth they felt the need to scatter concrete cows all over the place....

Next to where my parents live is Slate Meadow, home to lots of wildlife and several horses. There's been one new addition this spring, but this foal is still a little uneasy on its legs...
